Don't mean to sound like Mr. Negative here, but this was another miss in my online dating experience.
Good forums and very active member base, so if you need to vent/chat/communicate, this is a good place.
However, that's only the best thing about PS. Their pricing is the highest I've seen for an H-dating site. The search function is a little clunky, especially if you're not a Gold (i.e.; paying) member. I'm an HPV person, so that demographic is not well representated there at all. I'd see new members occassionally, but the member base was generally really static.
Paid for a month to give it a test drive, but received no responses and wasn't selected by any of the ladies. Great, I had about 20 people check out my profile, but that's not why I shelled out the money. I did get one email from a fake profile (it was obvious, misspellings, lack of punctuation/grammar/sentence structure), so I reported it to the admins. I received a reply that was just as poorly written; at least match.com gave you the generic boilerplate email. Positive Singles supposedly takes great care to prevent scammers, but they really missed the mark and the completely unprofessional email from them was the final nail in the coffin. Stayed on for another year, read the forums/blogs occassionally, but that was about it.
Try it if you want, just watch out for the autobilling feature if you want to give them a test drive. Also be careful that they have lots of mirror sites; some people put a message in their forum signature line that they are a PS member and not from another site. So, PS might post profiles to their sister sites in order to inflate the member base (can't prove it, but I've seen it before).
In summary, I would not recommend Positive Singles to a friend.
