I viewed this site and saw lots of b.c. ladies so I paid to join. Ever since they got my cash there hasn't been anyone from b.c. mostly Americans and people from Ontario. This site is a total SCAM!!! I give 0 stars

Not worth my time or money. Anytime someone views your profile they block you from finding out who it is unless you pay. First I would like the opportunity to view their profile before I spend any money paid one time and not enough members in my area. I will stick with Hiv/Meet singles at least they offer specials and you do not have to be a paid member to view who has looked at you!

I've had some success with the site I met a girl. From far away its hard to meet people nowadays let alone relocate. Face it having an std sucks. it just doesn't mix with daiting.overall it's a good site. if and when you do meet someone it will be someone who is far away. Be ready to relocate.

As far as I'm concerned, Positive Singles is a total scam. All you people who think they are the number one std site are fooling yourselves. First of all they do not like to be in competition with other std sites, if you just look around, you will see sites with other names that positive singles now owns, try going to any one of these sites and you will be redirected back to Positive Singles, they even claim to have a totally free std site called Positive Fishes, but when you try to sign up, you are redirected back to the Positive Singles site and who likes to be redirected? Nobody I know does.

Then Positive Singles is more interested in making money than they are about making relationships happen. Let's say you sign up for membership on PS which you can do for free, but free membership is very limited, you can only respond for free when a paying member sends you a message, you cannot initiate messages yourself, this is how they trick you into buying a premium membership. Both of my friends have herpes and they were seeking good men and they were but later found out each guy lied about their condition they both claimed they had hsv2 but instead had hiv and genital warts. You just cant trust users on there. The men seem honest and sincere but it's just them trying get laid - don't trust people on this site

Such a poorly designed site. Can't get there from here, etc. Hard to find links for managing your profile and account, have to get approval to change your user ID or other things on your profile, sends members emails saying someone marked you as a favorite with the message "log in to see who," but when you log in turns out you have to be a paying member to see who (and it's expensive compared to others). Unattractive layout. Don't know what the editors were thinking when they rated it as easy to use. It's THE worst dating site in terms of navigation that I've seen. Can't rate the dating or anything, since I'm so new, but from some of the other comments on here, I think I might delete my profile.

Ever since I got genital herpes I have belonged to this site as a paid member (4 years now) and have only had one date and not from lack of trying. I am good looking and in great shape and get asked out all the time but don't want to have the talk with women about my genital herpes. The site is not private like they say because they are getting sued in a class action lawsuit now for violating the privacy of their members. That is when I decided to delete my profile on Positivesingles. I found my profile on HIV Gay Dating sites and many others I did not sign up for. Positive Singles should be ashamed of themselves. I have tried a lot of other dating site out for std's but found that the only site I actually found some cute women in my area was on stdcommunity and it did not cost me a dime. I spent almost $500 on Positive Singles to get one date in 4 years and in less than 2 months had 2 days from stdcommunity. I've met people, and had good dates using the site, as a paid member. Being in the same boat certainly takes the pressure off. It is like any Internet dating site, there are a few weird people and some who are not honest with their (old) pics/body size.

I didn't like that you can't hide your photo as a standard (free) member, and no real activity with winks and such. You have to message people, otherwise it's quiet.

Lately, many members have not logged in the past month so the profiles are seemly stale, and not many people on the site in my city of 1.5 million people. I would just get a 1 month membership to try it.

Don't mean to sound like Mr. Negative here, but this was another miss in my online dating experience.

Good forums and very active member base, so if you need to vent/chat/communicate, this is a good place.

However, that's only the best thing about PS. Their pricing is the highest I've seen for an H-dating site. The search function is a little clunky, especially if you're not a Gold (i.e.; paying) member. I'm an HPV person, so that demographic is not well representated there at all. I'd see new members occassionally, but the member base was generally really static.

Paid for a month to give it a test drive, but received no responses and wasn't selected by any of the ladies. Great, I had about 20 people check out my profile, but that's not why I shelled out the money. I did get one email from a fake profile (it was obvious, misspellings, lack of punctuation/grammar/sentence structure), so I reported it to the admins. I received a reply that was just as poorly written; at least match.com gave you the generic boilerplate email. Positive Singles supposedly takes great care to prevent scammers, but they... I have dated on this site on and off for about a year. I have chatted with numerous men and physically met several as well. I have never had any issues or doubts with fake or made up profiles. Everybody was real and genuine. This site has been a God send for support and semi-successful for dating as well. My only complaint, there are a few men just looking to hook up but that is going to happen with any dating site. I have been very satisfied with the site in general as well as the quality of men.
