I went to investigate this site and JEEZUS anyone can see the photos of anyone on this site with a simple Google search!?! You'd have to be out of your ever lovin' mind to join a site with privacy issues like this!

Try it yourself! Hit the link in the main page of this review site, and you'll see you can scroll through profiles with no membership required!

I'm sure their Admin. will say "Our members can opt to make their profiles private" as I did see a couple of pictures of the hundreds of visible pictures I saw that were not visible, which would probably mean non paying members (almost always the majority of sites like these) would never see them to respond to them.

Are you kidding me? In this day and age, with all the privacy and encryption options available I'm going to be on an STD site with my picture visible without joining, or even signing up for a free membership?!?

NO THANKS.

In summary, I would not recommend STD Friends to a friend.

I gave this site a test drive for all of a few days and made a rather disturbing observation.

While I can't provide concrete proof, I'm thinking that STD Friends and Positive Singles are in cahoots with each other. I noticed several profiles on STD Friends that were identical to ones I've seen on Positive Singles. I'm not joking when I say identical; the sites have a differnt layout, but the information is a straight cut/paste.

Is PS selling member information to STDF? Is this an isolated observaton? Does the rest of the H-dating sites buy/sell/trade member profiles to other sites? Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I got bad vibes from this site...stay away!

In summary, I would not recommend STD Friends to a friend.

I have sent numerous messages and heard nothing back from anyone! I even sent a message to std friends to try to talk to someone who worked at the web site and they never sent me back a message. A waste of time and $. The security on this site is horrible. Be careful!

This site's privacy practices are outrageous. When I typed my email address in Google search, the first link on the list was this site with my 'basic facts' on it that took anyone directly to my profile. I deleted the profile immediately, however, my email and basic facts must still be in their database, so even though the link doesn't take me to the profile anymore, it still states the facts along with my email!

Also FYI, there's not much communication going on on this site. To be precise, I have gotten no messages whatsoever, while I got close to 100 in the past month on other sites.

In summary, I would not recommend STD Friends to a friend.
